1.9L Turbo-Diesel
Offered in select MU-X models for 4x4 and 4x2 drivetrain configurations, the Isuzu RZ4E-TC 1.9L turbo-diesel engine generates 110kW of power and 350Nm of torque, delivering exceptional fuel efficiency and refined operation. The 1.9L MU-X is a versatile and cost-effective solution for small business owners, fleet and tradies.
6-SPEED TRANSMISSION
Let the intuitive 6-speed automatic MU-X do all the smooth shifting for you. Grade Logic technology makes sure you are in the correct gear when ascending and descending tough terrain. If you do wish to take control, select Rev-tronic mode for sequential shifting.

The advanced 3.0 litre turbo-diesel engine produces 140kW and an avalanche of torque on demand, with 450Nm available from just 1,600 through to 2,600rpm. Steel Timing Chain
Replacing a timing belt can be an expensive job. But there's no need in the MU-X as it doesn't have one. Instead, a heavy-duty steel timing chain is used and is designed to last the life of the engine. The double scissors design in the 3.0L engine also offers increased durability and reduced noise.
Split Camshafts
This unique Isuzu engine design eliminates backlash on deceleration, reducing engine wear.

Aerodynamic Design
When the MU-X was designed, it underwent extensive testing to ensure its shape provided outstanding aerodynamics resulting in a lower drag co-efficient (Cd). The sleek final result not only improves fuel efficiency, the shape reduces cabin noise for a quieter, more comfortable ride.
